Subpostmaster Ltd was founded in 2015 by David and Lorna.

The main focus is providing support and guidance for all those looking to obtain a Post Office franchise contract. It still remains a family business where both founding directors continue to play an important role in the day to day operation and continued development of the business.

Lorna’s association with Post Office started back in the 1970’s when her family operated a small sub-post office in the Midlands area. She also worked at Post Office Ltd for many years, in all key areas of the business including branch management, training, auditing and network development. This experience has provided Subpostmaster with an extremely wide knowledge of the business.

Before joining Post Office Ltd Lorna held the position of Finance Director for Cardiff based Fleetwheel Plc. Her initial financial training was mainly obtained with Dun & Bradstreet and more lately holding FCA Accreditation and a NEBOSH Diploma.

For a time, Lorna and David also owned a hospitality business, Lifton Hall Hotel, Devon where they developed the business over a 5 year period, before its sale and their return back to Wales.

David has 20 + years’ experience in the international bulk gas and liquid chemical logistics industry, with Groupe Samat (formerly BRT International Ltd) based in Vienne, France.  He worked at a senior director level, with a large staffing team, overseeing international contracts and business development. He was also responsible for the operation of the ISO chemical tank container rail terminal at Barry Docks, South Wales. David has experience in all areas of business development and financial management.
